Weekly Update #63

Hello Company Admins!

As most of you have probably figured out by now, we released bulk-job finalization as well as job un-finalization last week! This week's newsletter includes a full write-up on both features, so let's get to it!

On to the update:

Bulk-Job Finalization

Finalizing dozens or even hundreds of jobs in a day used to be tedious and time-consuming. With the addition of bulk-job finalization, you can now group-select all the jobs you'd like to finalize, then review and finalize them all from a single page! To start, simply highlight your cursor over a job in your main jobs list:

Bulk job selecting

If the job is still 'active', a checkbox will appear on the right-hand side along with the option the select all jobs within that group. Once you've selected jobs to finalize, click the 'Finalize Jobs (BETA)' button to get to the bulk-job finalization screen.

From this screen, you can simply click 'Show Details' to view all the employee payouts for the job. If this page has been left open, clicking the refresh button below the total job payout number will update the job with any new edits that may have been made. Once you're ready to finalize, simply click the 'Finalize' button. Once the job has been finalized, an 'Undo' button will appear, which, if clicked will un-finalize the job.

Job Unfinalization

Jobs can now be unfinalized! This is also a highly requested feature, and one we're more than happy to finally release! We know mistakes sometimes happen, which is why unfinalization so so important. You now have an additional way of reverting any mistakes that may have happened, changes that were forgotten, or additions that were missed.

To unfinalize a job, head over to that jobs details page. If the job has not been added to a payroll batch, an 'Unfinalize' button will appear in the upper-right hand corner to the job header. Clicking this will unfinalize the job.

Group To-Finalize Jobs By Date

Another small, but important pain you brought to our attention was that there was no way to group jobs by 'date' within the 'to finalize' list. This made it tiresome to look for each job for a particular day. To accommodate, we've added a Group By: Date, which solves just that:

Group-by date

Minor Changes

  • Bug fixes
  • Performance improvements

Upcoming Changes

  • Enhanced worker sorting while reviewing a job for finalization
  • Daily Activity report additions

Until next week!

Best Regards,
The FieldClock Team
